During the last three months, I have been working in the Data Center project at Atheeb Consortium. It is an interesting experience and I have learned a lot of concepts in different fields such as civil, networking, electrical and electronics as well as project management.

I was involved in the project from the beginning. I was responsible for handling the bidding; this include preparing the RFP, evaluating the suppliers and generating the evaluation report.

The data center is a vital component for any organization. It is the warehouse that host all the organization equipments such as the servers, switches and all the network, IT and telecom equipments. This makes the data center the most important place for the organization that need to be treated as a high quality location. The data center security, availability, cooling and power should meet the high quality baselines as per the international standards.

As the importance of the data centers and its quality increasing over the time, building and preparing them will be a new challenge for the modern business.
